Special Appearances and Donations

I find it very strange in how life works. Being the webmaster for the 3rd Iowa Cavalry, I have quite a few email communications between Jeffrey and myself over the years that the website started in the year of 1998. Jason had contacted my captain in our reenacting group to do something for Jeff. At the time I still had no idea who this man was. In standing at ease to do a salute I heard the name Jeffrey Brown. Oh my God it hit me like a brick wall as to who this is. Jeffery was quite the man in knowledge of the Civil War and the 3rd Iowa Cavalry. People who knew him and myself will miss him. The 3rd Iowa Cavalry Re-enactors Inc. want to express our heart-felt sorrow of the loss of Jeffrey and may God's healing power be bestowed on to his family and friends.

We as a re-enacting group want to thank Jeffrey's family in their overwhelming donation. It was greatly appreciated and will be used for our efforts in Civil War re-enacting in preserving our American History.

Thank you so much.

It was a great honor in being asked to be part of honoring John P. Yount (Congressional Medal of Honor recipient) just outside of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa at the Pioneer Cemetery Sept. 30, 2007. In being a Civil War reenactor it is participating in events like this that makes one feel proud to be a part of.

The 3rd Iowa Cavalry Reenactors Inc. want to thank The Henry County Pioneer Cemetery Commission for letting us be part of such a great ceremony honoring a Hero. We also like to thank the commission for a fine donation to our group that we did not expect. It will help our group in future endeavors of reenacting.

Thank you so much.
